Wasatch Duo 2-Port Ethernet Pixel Controller (WLED)

The Wasatch Duo is a compact, Ethernet-based pixel controller designed to run WLED while supporting high frame rate sequenced shows from xLights and FPP. It is well suited for permanent installations such as house outlines and landscape lighting.

Pixel outputs

• Outputs:
  • 2 configurable outputs
  • Can be used as:
    • Two pixel data outputs
    • One pixel output + relay or button input (configuration dependent)
• Supported pixel protocols:
  • WS2811, WS2812, and compatible LED protocols

Power distribution

• Integrated fused power distribution on board
• Designed for 12V pixel systems
• Supplies both data and power to connected pixels

Control and software

• Preinstalled with WLED
• Compatible with:
  • xLights
  • FPP
  • E1.31 and DDP input
• Supports high frame rate operation (40 FPS) over Ethernet
• Can be controlled via WLED web UI or mobile app

Connectivity

• Ethernet: Built-in (ESP32 WT32-ETH01 based)

Expansion and I/O

• Breakout header exposing unused GPIO pins
• Supports experimentation with:
  • Sensors
  • Buttons
  • Relays
  • Audio input (WLED / Sound Reactive WLED)

Hardware details

• ESP32-based controller with onboard level shifting
• 3.3V logic shifted to 5V for pixel data reliability
• Compact form factor for enclosure or eave mounting

Power requirements

• Input voltage: 12V DC only
• Controller and pixel outputs require 12V supply
