Shipping policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed with Light Show Factory through lightshowfactory.ca. All amounts are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer law.
Shipping at a glance
- Destinations: Canada only.
- Local pickup: free in Pointe-Claire, Québec.
- In-stock products: most ship within 1 business day after payment is confirmed.
- Made-to-order or backordered products: allow up to 2 weeks before shipment unless the product page gives another timeline.
- Free shipping: eligible Standard-Product-only orders CAD $1,000 or more after discounts and before taxes. Oversize products and the other exclusions below do not qualify.
- At checkout: you will see the available shipping or pickup option and its charge. Checkout does not show the carrier, processing time, or delivery estimate.
1. Where we ship
We currently ship within Canada only. Orders ship from Québec.
The flat-rate tables below apply to deliveries in the 10 Canadian provinces. For Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, remote or extended-service postal codes, and PO boxes, shipping availability and any charge are shown at checkout. If checkout does not offer a rate for your address, please contact us before ordering; do not place the order using a different address unless that is where you want the order delivered.
2. Free local pickup
Free local pickup is available in Pointe-Claire, Québec, for all products. Select local pickup at checkout. Checkout does not display a ready-for-pickup estimate. Unless the product page states a different interval, the processing or production time in section 3 is the estimated ready-for-pickup interval. We will send pickup instructions when the order is ready. Please wait for the ready-for-pickup notice before arriving.
3. Processing and production time
Processing time is separate from carrier transit time. Checkout does not display processing or production estimates; the general timelines below and any more specific interval stated on the product page apply. Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays in Québec.
- In-stock products: most orders ship within 1 business day after payment is confirmed.
- Made-to-order or backordered products: allow up to 2 weeks before shipment unless the product page states a different production interval.
- Presale products: the product page and order confirmation state the applicable shipment or delivery window. Presale products do not follow the regular in-stock timeline and are not expedited unless we expressly agree in writing.
- Mixed orders: an order containing in-stock and made-to-order, backordered, or presale products may be held until every item is ready. You may ask about a split shipment before fulfillment. Any additional charge for a customer-requested split will be disclosed and requires your agreement. If we choose to split an order, we will not charge you more.
4. Shipping categories
Standard Products
Standard Products generally include pixels, controllers, wiring, extensions, power supplies, and accessories.
Coroplast products and oversize shipments
A flat coroplast shipment qualifies for Standard Product shipping rates only when the entire packaged shipment fits within 36 × 24 × 3 inches. If any packaged dimension exceeds that limit, the oversize rates below apply.
An order containing any oversize item is treated as an oversize order. Oversize and mixed oversize orders are not eligible for the free-shipping offer.
If checkout does not offer a rate because of the size, quantity, destination, or carrier limits, contact us for a shipping quote before ordering. We will not add a shipping charge to an accepted order without your express agreement.
5. Standard Product rates
For Standard Product orders with an eligible merchandise subtotal of CAD $1,000 or less, after discounts and before taxes:
- Québec: $12
- Ontario: $18
- Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta: $22
- British Columbia: $25
- New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador: $22
Free standard shipping
Free standard shipping applies automatically to eligible Standard-Product-only orders when the eligible merchandise subtotal is CAD $1,000 or more, after discounts and before taxes. Oversize coroplast products, mixed orders containing an oversize item, territories, remote or extended-service postal codes, and any service not offered as free at checkout are excluded.
6. Oversize coroplast rates
The following rates apply to eligible oversize coroplast shipments, regardless of order value:
- Québec: $20
- Ontario: $30
- Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta: $40
- British Columbia: $45
- New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador: $40
Oversize shipments are not eligible for free shipping. The applicable rate is displayed before you submit the order. There are no separate packing or handling fees.
7. Carriers, tracking, and transit estimates
We typically use UPS, GLS, or another suitable carrier. At checkout, you will see the shipping or pickup option available for your address and the applicable charge. Checkout does not identify the carrier or display a transit or delivery estimate. For shipped orders, the shipment confirmation sent after dispatch identifies the carrier and provides tracking information.
The following general transit estimates apply after carrier pickup. They are provided in this policy for planning purposes and are not displayed at checkout:
- Québec and Ontario: 1–3 business days
- Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta: 3–5 business days
- British Columbia and Atlantic Canada: 4–7 business days
These are non-guaranteed carrier estimates and do not include processing or production time. Weather, peak-season volume, remote destinations, and carrier disruptions may cause delays. Any specific written delivery commitment in your product page, order confirmation, or later written agreement takes priority over these general estimates.
A signature is not normally required, but we may require one when reasonably necessary because of the order value, destination, or delivery risk.
8. Address changes, refused deliveries, and returned parcels
Please review the delivery address before submitting your order. Contact us immediately if a correction is needed. We cannot guarantee an address change after fulfillment has begun or a shipping label has been created.
If a parcel is returned because the address supplied by the customer was incorrect or incomplete, or because the parcel was refused or left unclaimed, we will contact you. Where permitted by law, you may choose to pay the actual cost of reshipment or receive any refund otherwise available under our Return and Refund Policy, less non-recoverable delivery and return costs. We do not charge these costs when the return resulted from our error or the carrier's error.
9. Delayed, lost, stolen, damaged, or incomplete deliveries
We remain responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure your order is delivered as agreed, subject to applicable law. Contact us promptly if tracking shows a delay, loss, theft, or delivery problem. We may ask you to confirm the address, check with household members or neighbours, and cooperate with a carrier investigation. Express instructions from you to leave a parcel unattended may affect the available remedy where permitted by law.
For visible transit damage, a missing item, or an incorrect item, please contact us promptly and preferably within 7 days of delivery. Include the order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the parcel, shipping label, packaging, and affected product. Reporting after 7 days does not automatically eliminate any warranty or other right provided by law.
If your order is very late
Please contact us so we can investigate. In some circumstances, Québec law lets an online buyer cancel when an order has not been delivered within 30 days after the agreed written delivery date, or within 30 days after purchase when no delivery date was provided. If that right applies, we will refund the amounts required by law within 15 days after the contract is cancelled and will cover any return costs required by law.
