Kulp PocketScroller V2 LED Panel Controller (with PocketBeagle)

The Kulp PocketScroller V2 is a compact LED matrix controller designed specifically for driving HUB75 LED panels such as P5 and P10 matrices. Built around the PocketBeagle platform and powered by Falcon Player (FPP), it provides a powerful and affordable solution for animated panel displays, scrolling text, and video playback.

Its compact form factor makes it ideal for smaller matrix builds while still supporting large panel counts and high refresh rates using the PocketBeagle PRUs for panel driving.

Panel support

• 1:32 scan panels are NOT supported

Performance

• 6 HUB75 outputs
• Each output can drive more than 12 P10 1:8 scan panels
• Supports up to approximately 72 panels total depending on configuration and refresh rate
• Uses both PocketBeagle PRUs for high refresh rate output

Connectivity

• USB-A connector for USB Ethernet or WiFi adapter
• Supports network-based control via E1.31 or DDP
• Compatible with xLights and other sequencing software

Power

• 5V DC input via 3.5 mm screw terminal
• Powers the PocketBeagle, buffer chip, and USB bus

Notes

• The OLED display shares pins with HUB75 output 6. When using all 6 outputs, the OLED will display information at boot but will disable once FPP starts
• For continuous OLED operation, leave output 6 unused
• PocketBeagle2 compatibility is currently limited and may exhibit display ghosting/interference issues
• Designed for HUB75 LED matrix panels only
